Craster lies
almost halfway along Northumberland's Heritage Coast in a designated
area of Outstanding Natural Beauty 7 miles east of Alnwick. You
will find our two family run pinelodges situated at the entrance
to
the village
some
200yds
from the harbour, one of the jewels along this North East of England
coast.
This
picturesque village, famous for its Craster Kippers and developed
around a natural
haven, prospered from local fishing and transportation of stone
from the local quarry. Crabs, lobsters and salmon are landed from
the local fishing boats which also offer trips to sea anglers.
From the harbour
there is a spectacular coastal walk to the 14th Century ruins of
Dunstanburgh Castle. Within the village there is a pub, village
shop, seasonal seafood restaurant and the T.I.F.
Craster
Pine Lodges are a perfect base from which to explore
an outstandingly beautiful area steeped in history.Pets are welcome.
